We went to visit Jason's extended family in Nordhausen, Germany the weekend of the 8th. We stayed with Jason's 2nd cousin, Christian and his wife Connie. They were the nicest people I think I have met in Germany yet! They understand a bit more English than I understood their German. So needless to say, it was a "German Weekend" for me! Their children, Katja and Stephen we there too. Connie kept us fed so well the entire weekend; I wanted to get every recipe from her. They kept the girls busy with puzzles and coloring books and Stephen's girl friend rented The Little Mermaid (in German) for Addison to watch too. Of course she loved it! There was a local playground for the girls to play at too. You should see the pictures of the girls on the spinning thing with Katja and her boyfriend Toby.

We went to the area where about 4-5 years ago Nordhausen was the site for the Landsgarten Show. We had a nice walk through the gardens and the water activity areas. There was a big slide for the girls and parents to slide down too!

I think we all had a great time.
